Scholarships help student serve community
Breana Steele is a senior studying philosophy and religion with biology and chemistry minors. Her goal is to continue her education in medical school and become a practicing physician. "I am very passionate about my future career," Breana says, "and I am grateful that WCU, in partnership with donor support, has made it possible for me to pursue it." Read more.

Mateius Brown is a freshman studying criminal justice. He is a member of the Honors College and Track and Field team at Western Carolina University. His hard work, dedication and persistence both academically and athletically paid off when he earned both scholarships at WCU. Read more.

Honoring his parents
After 37 years of service to Western Carolina University, Robert Edwards, a 1977 graduate of WCU, has made a gift of his own to establish a scholarship fund honoring his parents and his high school band director. Read more.
